As a project officer within the QPS HRT, you will research, analyse and provide advice on significant policy and operational issues which contribute to service delivery in the area of domestic and family violence issues.

  • Participate in multi-disciplinary projects teams involved in the planning, development, implementation, review and evaluation of domestic and family violence issues and initiatives.
  • Undertake research, provide advice and assist in the preparation of a variety of documentation in support of the domestic and family violence person's project activities.
  • Support the functions of the work area through the provision of administrative and organisational support.
  • In consultation with district staff and other commands develop and maintain listings of High Risk persons using intelligence and information to support the functions of the High Risk Team.
  • Liaise, consult and negotiate with internal and external stakeholders in an appropriate manner.
  • Support the QPS HRT with data input and file maintenance, whilst maintaining confidentiality of files and information.
  • Produce timely and accurate information to be used for the purpose of evaluating programs, providing a basis for planning and policy development, and the assessment of legislative impacts on policing domestic and family violence issues.
  • Represent the Queensland Police Service, where appropriate at selected domestic and family violence forums.
